INTERNAL REGULATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN MACEDONIA FOR THE AWARDING OF RECIPROCAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO UNDERGRADUATE, POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS, AND DOCTORAL CANDIDATES THROUGH THE REGULAR BUDGET

The University of Western Macedonia offers reciprocal scholarships to undergraduate, postgraduate students, and PhD candidates for contributing research, scientific, administrative, technical, and supportive work. According to Law 4957/2022, these scholarships are funded from the department’s regular budget, covering various cycles of study. The specifics, including the scholarship period, employment subject, evaluation committee, selection criteria, and remuneration, are determined by the department and announced on the university website.

Selected students must be approved by department assemblies, sign contracts with the rector, and commit via a responsible statement. Post-scholarship, a certificate from the department validates the scholarship program’s completion. The finance department then processes the payment upon receiving confirmation from the academic affairs department.

Notices outline eligibility, application process, and selection criteria, emphasizing academic performance and financial need. Applications must include a tax clearance for family and individual income. A contract between the rector and the student formalizes the scholarship, specifying the work object, period, and scholarship amount.

Upon scholarship completion, certification from the department head confirms the provided work. Students also submit a solemn declaration verifying the accuracy of their information, including personal and banking details, aware of the legal implications of false declarations. This comprehensive procedure ensures the structured and transparent allocation of scholarships to students across all study cycles at the University of Western Macedonia.
